This link takes you to the GlobCover Portal, which provides access to the results of the GlobCover project. GlobCover is an ESA initiative, in partnership with JRC, EEA, FAO, UNEP, GOFC-GOLD and IGBP, that delivers global composite and land cover maps (year 2005/2006) using as input observations from the 300m MERIS sensor on board the ENVISAT satellite mission.
The DATABASE of CarboAfrica contains the list of all CarboAfrica sites and the relative variables measured. You can freely see tables, figures, graphical interfaces, dynamic maps, etc. For each site you can request the data owner to download available data.
TEMS, the Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring Sites database of GTOS, is an international directory of sites and networks that carry out long-term, terrestrial in-situ monitoring and research activities. The system provides information on the "who, what and where" that can be useful to both the scientific community and policy-makers.
Collection of links to geo-spatial data sets and metadata which might be of interest to the CarboAfrica research activities.
A new dynamic metadata catalogue, specifically designed to manage CarboAfrica data, is under development. It is based on the FAO's opensource GeoNetwork technology and will allow -the general public to search and access relevant data from the CarboAfrica archive or from other GeoNetwork nodes, and -authorized users to upload data and edit metadata.
This application intends to facilitate the dissemination and sharing of geo-spatial data and information collected for or generated by the project between different CarboAfrica partners and stakeholders, as well as UN agencies and other institutions.
